As we explained in our article outlining how we got to the next version of Nashville.gov, it’s been a long road to get to this brand new website. We believe the time we took for this journey was well worth it, and we’re happy to be nearing the end of the process.
Throughout this project, we’ve relied on feedback from users of the site, no matter who they are. Nashville residents, visitors to our region, business owners, and people who just have an interest in our city all have different needs from Nashville.gov, and we are taking all of them into account.
Focus groups with users from all different backgrounds, hundreds of web surveys from visitors across the city, and meetings with Metro departments and agencies have shaped what you see today. This feedback was critical to making something great, and we realize it shouldn’t stop there.
We’re sharing this limited Preview version of the site with just a few pages to help you get an idea of what to expect when the full version launches in early 2020. Not every page or section is available just yet, but we think it’s enough for you to see what we’re hoping to accomplish.
Even as we enter the final stages of building the site, migrating content to it, and finally releasing it to the world, we need your help. We’re asking visitors like you to spend some time taking a look around, thinking seriously about what works for you and what might need some improvement, and then take our very quick Nashville.gov Preview Feedback Survey to tell us what you think. It will take you less than two minutes, and there’s room for you to share whatever thoughts you might have about the website, no matter how big or small.
Even after we launch and end this survey period, we’ll continue to listen to your feedback about the site. A new feature across every page of Nashville.gov is the feedback bar just above the dark blue footer. No matter where you are, you can let us know if what you found was helpful and give us suggestions on how we could improve it. Our team will look at these responses over time and make whatever adjustments we can to make the site work better for you.
We want to thank every single person who has given us feedback throughout this process, and we hope that you’ll keep sharing your thoughts with us so we can continue to serve you well.
